Tom Cykman

Tom Cykman is a musician and guitarist with extensive experience in performance and teaching improvisation.

He was a finalist for the Music Professionals Award as an instrumentalist in 2023. He is part of Jota P’s Quintet – saxophonist, flautist and composer, winner of two Latin Grammys alongside Hermeto Pascoal.

In his online courses, he has more than 450 students in more than 20 countries, teaching improvisation, guitar and music in general.

With international recognition, he has toured Argentina, Portugal and Israel (Shablul Jazz). He was a guest professor at the universities UFRGS and UFMG, teaching improvisation in the undergraduate course in Popular Music in courses taught by Julio Herrlein and Lucas Telles, respectively.
